Ketamine Treatments Can Bring You Much Needed Relief

Treatments for depression have been around for years and include medications (SSRI’s, Tricyclic, anti-depressants), counseling, electro shock therapy. Some respond well to these interventions; many improve for a while and others demonstrate no improvement.

Ketamine has been extensively researched and documented to treat difficult and resistant/recurrent symptoms. Results of multiple studies are easily found online, many performed by the NIH (National Institute of Health). Success rates across the board are over 80%.

Ketamine Treatment For Depression

Years after the formulating of ketamine as an anesthetic agent in the 1960’s researchers hypothesized that it might work for mood issues because it influenced nerve signals in the brain. The low dose IV Ketamine protocol was just tested in the early 2000’s. Since then millions of patients have found hope and relief with just a few treatments. A significant number experience a lightening of mood after their first infusion.

Ketamine Infusions for Chronic Pain

When you’re in pain, it’s all you can think about. Normal thoughts have to fight their way to the surface. There is no argument that chronic pain is completely debilitating.

It’s been well documented that IV ketamine infusion therapy has helped patients reduce their need for prescription pain medications and return to a functioning life. With the rising rate of addiction in this country, we are able to provide a safer alternative.

While ketamine treatments do not address the underlying reasons for your pain, these treatments do provide much needed relief. Call us and let’s talk about whether or not ketamine treatments are right for you.

You’ve spent enough time suffering. Let our professional medical staff help you get back to your life.

What Does Ketamine Therapy Look Like at Georgia Renew Clinics?

The first step is a consultation (no charge) with Dr. Nicholson or her NP, Carrie Davis. We like to have referral information from the health care provider who diagnosed or is treating your symptoms and will review that with you.

At the time of your first treatment appointment, you will be seated in a private room with a comfortable recliner and soft lighting. An IV (intravenous) line will be started, and the calculated dosage of ketamine will be infused over 45 minutes with a monitoring of your blood pressure and pulse. Thirty minutes after completion, you will be ready to leave with your driver.
